Getting
credentialed involves receiving an orientation to the facilitation
style and process that is used on this course and getting
an orientation to the technical aspects of the course -
setting up highs, emergency response, emotional rescues,
etc. The Facilitation Skills Seminar (or its equivalent)
will be a prerequisite for anyone who has not had the opportunity
to co-facilitate or work with Moonshadow staff. It will
also be a good way to get introduced to this field and begin
the process of becoming a challenge course facilitator.
If Moonshadow staff have worked with you personally on a
challenge course, you can check in with us about a waiver
of this prerequisite. The basic Facilitation Skills Seminar
. It is necessary that participants come for both days.
The second prerequisite for credentialing is to attend the
Technical Skills seminar. This is required whether or not
a facilitator plans to use the high elements. However if
your plans include only use of low elements and this date
does not work for you, a future "check out" on
a working knowledge of the highs can be arranged.
