Project Management


Managing projects, teams, and multiple tasks is a critical skill for today’s manager. During this class, participants will learn the basic skills for project management including how to use tracking tools, how to track budgets and resources and how to manage the team they are leading to produce the project.

Participants will use a simulation to manage multiple aspects of a project and will use feedback tools and self critique to identify areas for personal improvement. 



Course Objectives

When you have completed the Project Management class you will be able to:

· Identify the critical factors in project assessment.

· Be able to track critical steps of any project according to time spent, budget required, and staff resources used.

· Be able to critique project success in a manner that focuses on results and avoids “scapegoating”.

· Understand the pros and cons of project management software.

· Create a project management plan for at least one project from their workplace.

· Identify team factors that are critical to any project and address issues related to team management.
